Latest Newsletter

The club sends out a newsletter each month just before the monthly meeting. In there you will find the topic for the next meeting, notifications of captures, notices of upcoming competitions and romps, cartoons, articles by members on trips and techniques and other items of interest. Members can advertise items for sale or wanted for no charge.

We need articles, cartoons, recipes, anything you can give us to print in the newsletter. This is another way you can obtain your 15 seconds of fame for the month. Once again this is what being in a club is all about. If you ever hope to have that ego boost of having an article published in the fishing press this is where to start. We have a good number of nationally published writers in the club who are only too willing to give you a few pointers, who can give you a hand, but first you have to write something for them to look at. Consider that this newsletter is your first step and testing ground and yes we do send copies to a number of leading fishing publications. You may yet get discovered. If you can get it typed up on to one A4 page or multiples of that it would help. Give it to the editor at a meeting night or post it to Newsletter Editor, Brisbane Sportfishing Club Inc, PO Box 1022, Fortitude Valley, 4006. There is a trophy awarded by the editor each year for contributions to the newsletter. Many thanks in anticipation.
