Records And Awards
The club has it’s own record
chart dating back nearly 30 years. This record chart formed
the basis for the recently developed Queensland Record Chart Certificates
are issued for club record captures. To claim a Club Record you
only need to fill in a Notification
of Capture form (sheets of these are available at each meeting
on the table out the front) and hand it to the Recorder within 30
days from the date of capture. You must use pretested line to claim
a club record but a line sample does not need to be submitted. No
photo is necessary either. There is no fee for claiming a club record.
The club record chart is published each year with the Annual Report.
To claim State or National Records you need to
fill in the claim forms (available at each meeting on the table
out the front) attach the photos and line samples etc and hand these
to the recorder along with the prescribed fee ($15 each for both
state and national claims). Remember that if you have a national
claim it is most probably also both a state and club record so make
sure you fill in all 3 forms. When claiming state or national records
always make sure that you fill in a Notification of Capture form
for the club. This is to make sure that the fish is included in
the captures list for the Annual Trophies and is included in your
captures towards the various Masters Awards
(see both state and national handbooks).
The club Recorder keeps records of member’s
captures for Masters claims for both state and national awards and
the captures are published in the newsletter each month. Masters
attained and progressive captures towards the various Masters awards
are published with the Annual Report. It is strongly recommended
that members keep a record of the claims they have submitted and
check their own progress towards Masters etc.
