Romps are outings of a non competitive nature to a particular area or for a certain fish where the club organises to fish as a group so that the less experienced can learn from the more experienced. Typical are trips to the Upper Noosa River for "real" bass, to the dams for "really big" bass, to Jumpinpin to tag flathead, to the Sunshine Coast to catch a billfish, to the mouth of the Maroochy River to tag bream, to Wathumba Creek on Fraser Island for a week in December, to Turkey Beach near Gladstone or Woody Heads in NSW just because they are great places to fish.

The dates for the romps are included in the "Coming Events" on the front of each months newsletter. More specific details can be obtained by ringing the contact numbers given or by referring to the notices in the "Newsletter". In some cases it is necessary to book camping spots so you need to get in contact with the organiser and let them know you are coming. If you have an idea for a romp that you would like to happen then get in contact with the committee and lets get it organised.
